Dear PPD Orthodontic patients and families,
I hope this email finds you well and that you are starting to adjust to the changes and challenges our lives have brought to us these past few weeks. Thank you for being such a collective body of wonderful people. We have had nothing but positive support from all of you during this difficult time and I appreciate each and every one of you and truly look forward to when we are able to re-open our doors to your smiling faces soon again!
We have formulated a strategic and comprehensive plan to ensure that your treatment needs are tended to as best as possible during this temporary phase of our lives. I will be starting with the first day our clinic was not open (Tuesday, March 17th) and reviewing each of your patient files in order.
If your email is on file, I will be emailing you with a few brief instructions, words of support or questions about your treatment status.
If you have any questions or concerns about your orthodontic status after receiving your email, please text us at (703) 221-4040 with your FULL NAME and REQUESTED TIME and DATE TO TALK. If you have photos you would like to share, see samples below for useful images and angles.
Question and Answer/ (FAQ’s):
1. If I am emailing photos, what photos would be helpful to see?
Answer: Below are sample photos. Bite firmly on the back teeth and make sure your flash is on.
2. If I have run out of elastics, what should I do?
Answer: Contact us and we will mail it to you. Just let us know what animal name is written on your bag of rubber bands.
3. If I have a broken bracket, what should I do?
Answer: We cannot yet safely use the high-speed handpiece needed to remove the cement and replace your bracket and have been mandated by our Governing bodies to wait on this procedure. Please save the bracket in a baggie and email us so that we can add more time to your appointment upon your return to the clinic.
4. What if something is poking or hurting me?
Answer: We are able to get you comfortable. Please understand we are only able to see severe emergencies causing pain or at risk of infection. Please text the office phone during the day from 9 am – 5 pm to speak with a staff member. You can also email your concerns at [email protected]
5. What happens to my missed, future or existing appointments?
Answer: As soon as the restriction is lifted, we will contact you to schedule accordingly. Currently, we are mandated to close until 04/24. Please keep in touch for new updates.

Espero que este correo los encuentre bien y que estén comenzando a adaptarse a los cambios y desafíos que han ocurrido en estas últimas semanas. Gracias por su apoyo durante estos momentos difíciles. Les agradezco a todos y realmente esperamos que muy pronto podamos abrir nuestras puertas para ver sus rostros sonrientes.
Hemos formulado un plan estratégico para asegurar que sus necesidades de tratamiento sean atendidas de la mejor manera posible durante esta fase temporal de nuestras vidas. Pregunta y respuesta / (Preguntas frecuentes):
1. Si estoy enviando fotos por correo electrónico, ¿qué fotos serían útiles para mandar?
Respuesta: Abajo están unos ejemplos de las fotos que pueden mandar. Muerda firmemente los dientes de atrás (las muelas) y asegúrese de que su flash esté encendido.
2. Si me he quedado sin elásticos , ¿qué debo hacer?
Respuesta: Contáctenos y se las enviaremos por correo. Solo díganos qué nombre de animal está escrito en su bolsa de gomas elásticas.
3. Si tengo un bracket roto, ¿qué debo hacer?
Respuesta: Todavía no podemos reemplazar su bracket en este momento. Es necesario usar una herramienta especial para eliminar el cemento y reemplazar su bracket. El gobernador nos ha ordenado que esperemos a atender este tipo de procedimiento. Guarde el bracket en una bolsa y envíenos un correo electrónico para que podamos agregar más tiempo a su cita a su regreso a la clínica.
4. ¿Qué pasa si algo me está pinchando o lastimando?
Respuesta: Podemos ponerlo cómodo. Por favor, comprenda que solo podemos ver emergencias graves que causan dolor o están en riesgo de infección. Por favor envíe un mensaje de texto a la oficina o llame durante el día de 9 am a 5 pm para hablar con un miembro de nuestra oficina. También puede enviar sus inquietudes por correo electrónico a [email protected].
5. ¿Qué sucede con mis citas perdidas, futuras o existentes?
Respuesta: Tan pronto como se levante la restricción, nos comunicaremos con usted para programarla. Actualmente, estamos obligados a cerrar hasta el 04/24. Manténgase en contacto para nuevas actualizaciones.
