We had a fantastic experience with Dr. Erica Kyung for my daughter Elizabeth’s first dental visit! She was kind, patient, and made Elizabeth feel completely at ease. Her ability to speak Spanish fluently was an awesome bonus!

A big shoutout to Loren as well—she was an amazing dental assistant, so gentle and reassuring to Elizabeth for her first visit. We couldn’t have asked for a better first visit. Highly recommend Dr. Kyung, Loren and her team.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I feel like I have to today.
I came into the office today with my 4 boys, for their very first visit here, my oldest boys loved the dentist, hygienist, and dental assistant, but I was EXTREMELY impressed with the two woman working at the front desk. My 3 year old is autistic and he was having a hard time waiting for his big brothers appointment to end, but they took the time to help me in the middle of a meltdown, helping with my 1 year old so that I could tend to my toddler, and continually checked in on us. They made me feel so welcome in the middle of the chaos! I really appreciate how warm and caring they were, it made me feel like we made the right choice choosing this office for our kids!

It is always a good experience at PPD whether going to the dentist or orthodontist. The staff is always so nice, willing to help and listen and the doctors are amazing. Normally my son has a good experience here as they are nice, and efficient getting in and out. Today I came in with my son and there were four unfriendly front desk staff. I stood by the first receptionist and there was only one other person being checked in front of me. No one offered to check me in and the woman at the front desk seemed to be annoyed after I asked her if she could check me in or is there someone else. After blaming the computer for issues and not being able to find my son name, she finally found it. She then asked me who I was in relation which I found odd. After answering she told me that I needed to refill out all his dental forms. Puzzled and I asked why? She said it was policy and by law I needed to and for my son to be seen. Understanding the medical field, this was false information as I never had to refill all medical information every 6 months or ever as it’s on file. Annoyed, I clicked the link and my prefilled information was already present and so I just had to review and submit. The front desk needs customer service training and not being abrasive to customers.

We recently took our son to Dr. Kyung for some extensive dental work, including multiple extractions and caps, which required anesthesia. I can’t express enough how wonderful the experience was. Dr. Kyung was exceptional in making my son feel at ease and took the time to explain each step of the procedure. Her assistant, Dasia, was equally impressive—professional and very supportive throughout the process. Together, they make an outstanding team. Highly recommend! 5 Stars ⭐️

Its very offensive to say to a parent that its child abuse if you do not want to get work done for your kid. I seriously was very offended.
They wanted to do so much work for my young kid so I refused out of fear. The 3rd attempt to offer the work done, just when I was finally made up my mind, the Doctor told me that they have to let us go. Refusal to their advise is like child abuse. Imagine as a parent being told that. This is very unacceptable and unprofessional. The Doctor and The Owner is very disrespectful for saying this to me. I hope you learn how to respect the parents decisions and not to judge and say these offensive words. Its ashamed that you are called professionals but you behave this way…..

The clinic looks like an assembly line, they rush the service. You will see the dentist for about 2-3 minutes they the dentist is on to the next patient. I took my children there the dentist saw my first son after he got his routine cleaning said that my son needs a sealant — I was not told when he needs to get it what’s the plan & etc. Then called my next son to the chair his teeth is not cleaned yet inspected it then said that the hygienist will finish the task. I asked what’s next – I was told that my second son’s teeth will be cleaned and then were done.

I have to go to a parent teacher conference so I brought my 19 year old niece to drive my children home after their dental appointment (I did this in the past except it was my aunt). They called me to come back only to find out because they need to do the sealant for my son’s teeth and I was told I need to sign the waiver for my niece to be with my kids. Also they want me to sign their financial papers about the sealant, they did not told me they want to do it the same day! I was so mad because they should have done this ALL while I’m there. This office is so chaotic and disorganized — we’re not going back!

This office is a happy place for my children. To say that about a dental office with little ones feels unreal. I first sought this office because I was looking for a team that was comfortable and qualified to provide dental care for my child on the spectrum. I read the great reviews of other mothers of special needs and took my leap of faith. From the first day we walked through the doors, my kids felt comfortable and joyous here. It can get busy but staff do their best to meet everyone’s need and create a positive, relaxed atmosphere. I appreciate the sensory things available at this office and I am so grateful for the highly professional, patient-focused, and kind nature that each member of the dental team has offered my children. We’ve had to go through procedures that have been uncomfortable for small kiddos but the calm and composed nature of each member of the team has been so appreciated and helpful. I hope the standards here never fall. My kids love coming here and always look forward to the next visit. Thank you so much!

I’ve taken my child (adopted) to the dentist 8x since I met her, and today we learned she has a molar condition and sealants. Not a single dentist before this location has told us any of this, so I really appreciate Potomac Pediatrics, because now we know to be more stringent with dental care since our girl is more cavity prone due to this condition! Also the office was clean, inviting, offered a tour, and explained everything they were doing.

I love it. My kids love it. We had a very fun dental visit and my son (3y) can’t wait for his next visit. He was not scared at all. Potomac Pediatric Dentist is way better than BSPD. We came here for a cleaning and checkup for my 2 kids. Then, the following visit, we came back for my son’s tooth filling. They were really good with him, especially Dr Holmes and another girl( I forgot her name). He didn’t complain of anything that hurts, or any discomfort, he was just so happy and entertained with what they were doing to his teeth.
When we first went to BSPD, they were not very patient with my kids, they didn’t give us options for sedation, they just told me that my son needs general anesthesia for his tooth filling. It was not a very good first dental visit. So, I tried to find a different dentist, and luckily I found Potomac Pediatric Dentist. My son loves the golden coin, that’s what he calls it, the prize that they gave him after his treatment, which he used for the toy vending machine inside the facility. Anyway, I really recommend Potomac Pediatric Dentistry.

Both of my children come here for their dentist and love it. The staff is always extremely friendly and professional. My 8yo is going to the ortho side as well for an expander and braces. She was so scared at first, but now she’s excited to go to her appointments. They’ve done a wonderful job with each step and thoroughly explaining the process. I really loved the status when my three kids started going there several years ago. They are warm and inviting people for sure. However, their work is shotty to say the least. My daughter had a cavity that they were just watching instead of treating. Well, six months later it became so bad that she needed a cap and they sent me to a specialist. The specialist said that there was no way it increased that much in that amount of time so it really should’ve been worked on the first time. My son also had several fillings that fell off within months and he didn’t even he wasn’t even hard on them at all. They have since been fixed by a dentist in Iowa and we’ve had no issues. Lastly, they are incredibly dishonest because I left a review like this months ago and I see that it was deleted so beware they have so many good reviews because they are deleting bad ones!

It was my kids very first time at this dentist! Very nervous about some dental offices, we had a bad experience with a dentist in Atl. This dentist is very amazing, every staff member spoke and talk with my kiddos and let them know what’s going on with their teeth and ask them questions and they give them the opportunity to speak. I really enjoy this practice, actually. They treat my daughter well and are mostly great with her. The coins for prizes at the end are spectacular motivation tools, too. But then they sent me a notice requiring paperwork submitted in a timeframe that is absolutely absurd for a workday. This paperwork can be filled out before the appointment. Sending a link and expecting it to be fulfilled in 3 hours is absolutely ridiculous.

I’m not pleased with this establishment today. My daughter had a doctor’s appointment today however I was running 10-15 minutes late . Normally a grace period is allowed but today I was told they were too backed up for me to have a grace period. I was asked when is another day I could take off from work or had a day off . It’s not that easy to just take off ! But still I had to reschedule this appointment. We have to do better , if a grace period wasn’t allowed today then a courtesy phone call should’ve been made ahead of time to let me know.

My children and I LOVE the dentist and staff here. Dr.K Dr.Holmes and Jahaira have all been amazing! Everyone of the staff here have been nothing but pleasant I can’t name everyone but know your children will be well taken care of! They make sure your child is comfortable as possible and explain each step of any procedures. As a mother of 5 kids I will not take them anywhere else! If they could see adults, I would come here too 🤭

Amazing as always. My 3 year old son was showing signs of tooth pain so I brought him in to get it checked. He has autism and does not handle strangers very well, but, the dentist sang to him and made the whole experience very smooth.

I absolutely loved the environment of this Pediatric Dentist office. Everyone is so friendly and attentive to my son. I was referred by my family dentist for my son who needed some distractions in order to complete a procedure. I have switched dental providers and never going back. We have even moved further away but so worth the extra distance. Both of my kids really love everyone in the office. Dr Holmes is our favorite! Nothing has changed, still an amazing group of people.

Dr.K and Jahaira are AMAZING. My kids has been a patients here since they were babies now 17 and 11. We have recently moved out of the area but I don’t hesitate to drive the extra 30 mins to still come to this office because of how well they take care of both of my children . They’re absolutely professional GENTLE and knowledgeable. One thing I’ve noticed is that no matter how many patients they have we never feel rushed during our visits Dr.K and Jahaira take time to make sure we understand everything that’s going on at each visit. They make my children feel safe and comfortable and even share a few laughs during their visits which as we all know can be such a challenge at the dentist. I specifically ask for them each visit because not only does it calm my children but it calms ME as a parent knowing they’re in such great hands . Thank you for all that you do and continue to do here hands down the best 🙂

We have been with Dr Holmes now for about 6years. My daughter is now 14. She’s always been a hard patient lots of attitude and spunk. When we met Dr Holmes she immediately connected with my daughter. Met her at every turn! My daughter would say something crazy and Dr Holmes would just laugh it off. Now they have such a good relationship! It takes a lot for some to handle the feistiness in my little one, now teen. Dr Holmes is patient and kind and really takes the time to understand and know my daughter. It makes such a difference. We recently moved too far away to really still come to this office. We still make the trip because it is worth the trip! You won’t regret the kind staff that greet you at the door or the assistants. Even the other dentists in the office are amazing! Now we are with the other side, ortho. It’s been a really good experience so far! The orthodontist even made a personal call to me because he was told I had a few questions. I’ve never had a dr personally call me. It’s always the nurses or assistants. Love Potomac Pediatric Dentistry and Ortho! 💕

Update: Review #2
Visit #2 was okay. I’m not sure if they are remodeling a bit in the waiting room but the big teeth for play cleaning were not there and some other things. Also, the arcade games were out of order and the ones that weren’t you couldn’t play well.
As for the employees, we were running a bit behind due to traffic and were accommodated this time, thankfully. Dr. Le was absolutely wonderful with my not-so-happy child. She is very professional, sweet with children and clearly, tolerant. Thank you all for being so great! I highly recommend this place if you don’t have a dentist 🦷 for your child.

This is our first time and we were very happy with the experience of the child-like atmosphere and the tour that we were given. The location is easy in a great area, easy to find and plenty of parking. Even though my child was not too happy on the first visit to the dentist, that later changed after the green ducky was given as a prize and the wall toys and mini arcade in the waiting area were a hit. Thank you Jazmin and Dr. Kyung for all of your help and patience. Can’t wait for visit #2! 😊

My children’s appointments were cancelled due to a new policy that mandates that you must confirm appointments 48 hours in advance. I made the appointments earlier in the week and was not informed of this policy. I was sent forms to fill out the morning of my appointments which I completed and submitted 3 hours before my children’s appointment. Then 2 hours before the appointment was told my appointments had been cancelled due to not confirming 48 hours in advance. If this new policy was put in place to manage high demand and volume why would you not inform of the cancellation 48 hours in advance instead of waiting right before the appointment to cancel. How does this solve managing your high demand considering you now have two open appointments that my family would have attended or you could have potentially booked if you had cancelled my appointment 48 hours in advance instead of right before my scheduled appointments.

From my initial phone call I was impressed by the customer service, professionalism of the practice, and friendly staff. The space is beautifully designed for youngsters and families. The process was easy and all of the staff made it a pleasant visit. They really work with your child through the entire visit and put them at ease. They have a dentistry side and an orthodontics side which is a huge plus. They even give the kiddos a token at the end of the visit to get a little toy. I was especially impressed by this as I didn’t have to worry about going somewhere to get a “good job gift”. Love this practice!

We are military and took both of our boys (age 4 and 10) here and We couldn’t be happier ! My 4 year old typically fights the dentist but was so relaxed and let them actually clean his teeth vs just a brush. The staff took their time with each child and both of our boys felt very relaxed. Looking at the front of the office you wouldn’t believe what was behind the doors. The front desk, waiting room it’s staff are friendly and welcoming. The girl that took us back had great energy and her approach and tour of the office was informative and easy to follow. The dentist we saw was upbeat and dedicated. Finding this place was a Godsend for my 7 year old w/ high functioning autism. Julia, the dental hygienist, was amazing with him and even got him to do xrays. Dr. Holmes was just as amazing making him feel as comfortable and at ease as possible. We came from from a practice that we had been at since I was a kid in part due to moving but also because that practice isn’t well versed in dealing w/ special needs children. I’m so glad to have found this gem!

The staff is the Best. Our youngest daughter (6 year old) is not comfortable having hear teeth cleaned at the dentist office. They did a very good job getting her to relax so they could accomplished the mission of X-rays and cleaning. They also did an excellent job with our other two daughters. This is one of those rare gems that you feel is almost too good to be true. Consumate professionals. Ridiculously kid-friendly. A super personalized approach by compassionate staff who are in love with what they are doing and the customers they are serving. I was trying to find something more local but definitely never the same attention and quality as Potomac Pediatric dentisty, so we stay in here.
Kids love this place, and if kiddos are happy mom and Dad are as well.
